VANCOUVER — The Columbia Tech Center will be home to two new 40,000-square-foot office buildings under a preliminary development plan that property developers have submitted to the city of Vancouver.

The adjoining office buildings are to be constructed on the south side of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard at Southeast 184th Avenue. The vacant site contains 11 acres, according to PacTrust’s submittal to the city.

Peter Bechen, PacTrust’s president and chief executive officer, said the Portland development firm has no immediate construction plans but wants to get approvals in place as it pursues tenants for the proposed buildings.

A city preliminary review of the proposal is set for Jan. 7. More information is available from Patti McEllrath in Vancouver’s Development Review Services at patti.mcellrath@cityofvancouver.us.
