• The L.L. Bean No Fly Zone Dog Vest is a practical addition to your dog’s wardrobe. This nylon vest with reflective tape has insect repellent to keep away ticks, mosquitoes and other insects. $49 online at llbean.com.

• All cats can’t perform stunts like the amazing Acro-Cats, but their trainers use a clicker training system that can help even house cats behave nicely.
