A strong effort on the offensive glass helped the host Titans topple the Papermakers.

Denis Kirichenko grabbed a program-record 19 rebounds — nine of them on the offensive end — helping Union outrebound Camas 47-19 according to the Titans’ statistics.

Camas (0-6, 0-2) led by four points after the first quarter. Union (5-1, 2-0) gained momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Camas by 10.

“We really hit the offensive boards and started to wear them down a little bit,” Union coach Blake Conley said.
