Gifford Pinchot National Forest snow report 12/18

Mount St. Helens — Six inches at Cougar Sno-Park and 12 inches at Marble Mountain Sno-Park. Road No. 83 has been plowed, but chains still might be needed. The automated site at June Lake reports 30 inches at 3,440 feet elevation.

Mount Adams — Eight to 10 inches new snow at Pineside Sno-Park. Big Tree Loop has enough snow to ski, but has not been groomed. Several inches of new snow at SnowKing Sno-Park. Ski trails were grooomed Wednesday but have had new snow since. Eight inches at Atkinson Sno-Park and 10 of new snow at Flattop Sno-Park..

Upper Wind River — Eighteen inches at Koshko, Oldman Pass and McClellan Meadows sno-parks. Twenty-four inches at Lone Butte sno-park. Enough snow for sledding at Oldman Pass.

The automated site at Surprise Lakes, elevation 4,290 feet, reports 49 inches.
