Ridgefield — South Ridge Elementary School second-grader Emma Waddle took home first place in the Ridgefield School District’s annual Holiday Greeting Card Contest.
Her card shows a snowman and tree surrounded by falling snow as seen through a window. For the win, Emma’s artwork will be on the district’s holiday card, and she received $50 from the Ridgefield Art Association, which sponsored the contest.
Uruwa Abe, a fifth-grader, and third-grader Ella Norman, were the two runners-up and each received $25.
