A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after he reportedly stabbed himself in the neck and broke a window at Vancouver Fire Station 2 in west Vancouver, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Officers were sent around 7:30 p.m. to a call about a disturbance with a knife at the station, 400 E. 37th St.

Emergency radio traffic indicated that the man was uncooperative with firefighters, and police responded to assist.

After police restrained the man, he was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, according to radio traffic.

The Vancouver Police Department could not be reached Wednesday night for more information.
