Esther Short — At its First Friday event on Dec. 4, The French Door raised $265 for Furry Friends.
The home and garden store hosted an evening of live music and wine tasting, with proceeds going to the no-kill cat shelter.
The money will go to the shelter’s new building fund, as the organization is looking to move to a bigger location by the end of 2016 so it can take in more cats.
