Woodland Police Department officers, working with the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Narcotics Task Force, arrested a Woodland man last week suspected of manufacturing and delivering methamphetamine near Woodland schools, and more arrests are expected.

Woodland police Chief Phil Crochet said officers arrested Richard J. Long, 59, at his home Dec. 9 on suspicion of multiple drug charges, which include enhancements because his home is near Woodland Primary School and Woodland Middle School.

Crochet said the information officials released is limited, because the investigation is ongoing.
