Girls basketball: Union 45, Battle Ground 37

Mailia Aguigui led the Titans with 10 points as Union used a solid second quarter to seize control of its 4A Greater St. Helens League opener.

Battle Ground led 11-7 after one quarter, but Union’s defensive pressure helped the Titans take a 25-20 halftime lead.

Kylie Smith led Battle Ground with 10 points.
