Week 2 winter sports prep athlete of the week nominees

Weekly vote, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Dec. 12.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

JOURDON BOLDS, MOUNTAIN VIEW BOYS BASKETBALL: The senior guard scored 22 and 30 points to lead the Thunder to a pair of non-league wins.

JACQUELYN GUNDERSON, COLUMBIA RIVER GIRLS BOWLING: Gunderson averaged 199 over four games as the Chieftains posted a pair of league wins.

TREVOR NEWBURN, RIDGEFIELD WRESTLING: Newburn won the 126-pound division, beating teammate Wyatt Gaspar in the final, at the LC Wildcat Invitational.

GRACE PROM, PRAIRIE GIRLS BASKETBALL: Prom scored 16 and 24 points to lead the Falcons to a pair of non-league wins.

TOM UTAS, CAMAS BOYS SWIMMING: Utas was the high-point winner at the Sprint Pentathlon, winning the 25 IM, 50 free, 25 back and 100 breaststroke.
