Girls basketball: Columbia River 43, Mountain View 32

A 19-point fourth quarter carried the host Chieftains to the non-league victory.

Gabrielle Collins had 10 fourth-quarter points, hitting all eight of her free throws in the final period.

Columbia River coach Carl Click said the Chieftains played smart basketball in the fourth quarter. River (3-3) finished with a double-digit advantage in rebounds (37-25), and had nine fewer turnovers than Mountain View.

Maddie Kessi and Emma Fisk each grabbed 12 rebounds to lead River on the boards.

Collins finished with a game-high 15 points. Hailey Hartney led Mountain View (4-2) with 14 points, including all seven Thunder points in the fourth quarter.
