Boys basketball: Washougal 54, Fort Vancouver 43

Daniel Davis scored 16 points and Josh Bischoff added a double-double as Washougal won a non-league game at home.

Washougal outscored Fort Vancouver 20-12 in the fourth quarter, during which Matt Rotundo had eight of his 10 points.

“We really stepped up defensively,” Washougal coach Malcolm Estes said. “We ran our offense and got some easy transition baskets.”

Bischoff scored 10 points and had 12 rebounds. Estes also praised the defense of Brody Oberg, who had three steals, and Kade Coons, who played the game’s final 11 minutes in his varsity debut.

Kyron Lowe-Ash had 14 points and Alphin Yosuo added 10 for Fort Vancouver.

Both teams are 2-3 this season.
