HERMISTON, Ore. — A Hermiston man has been arrested on investigation of animal neglect after police found 14 cats, three of which were dead, at his residence.
The East Oregonian reports that Hermiston Police responded to the 57-year-old’s home on Monday on a report of animal neglect. The cats were removed from the home and two required immediate medical care.
Police Chief Jason Edmiston said in a news release that minimum care as defined by law can be subjective, but that it was clear they cats were not living in appropriate conditions.
