Emergency personnel, including Clark County firefighters, responded Tuesday to assist with a gas leak and associated structure fire in the hills outside of Woodland.

Information was scarce Tuesday evening: Clark County emergency personnel responded to a mutual aid call to 121 Fairwood Road just after 9 p.m.

Alan Headley, the emergency operations center manager, said Tuesday night he was unsure exactly what was at the site of the fire, and said emergency staff were still trying to assess what was happening.

“We’re just trying to get staffed up here,” he said.

The gas company had been notified, he said, and people were making their way to the fire.

“From there I really don’t have any information,” he said.

The reported address is for a residential property, according to Cowlitz County Assessor’s Office records.
