Three Clark County schools in the Educational Service District 112 region have been named a 2015 School of Distinction for sustained improvement in reading and math over a five-year period. All three schools have received the distinction in multiple years. They are:
• Captain Strong Primary School, Battle Ground Public Schools (2014 and 2015).
• Green Mountain School, Green Mountain School District (2007, 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2015).
• Cape Horn-Skye Elementary School, Washougal School District (2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015).
Ninety schools statewide received the award given by The Center for Educational Effectiveness. Other partners in the award are the Association of Educational Service Districts, Association of Washington School Principals, Washington Association of School Administrators, Washington State School Directors’ Association and Washington State Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Schools will be recognized by ESD 112 later this month.
