RIDGEFIELD — The Ridgefield City Council on Thursday night unanimously passed the city’s $25.1 million budget, an increase of $10.5 million over this year’s spending.
The 2016 budget sets up increases in capital spending, driven by the early stages of a proposed outdoor recreation complex.
“The 2016 budget reflects the capital investment required to serve our citizens,” City Manager Steve Stuart said in a press release.
A police sergeant’s job also was added for the coming year.
