The joy of a snow day is fleeting, as a day off now usually means an extra day of school later.
Washougal schools will use a scheduled day off March 11 to make up for Wednesday’s weather-caused closure.
The two- and three-hour late starts this week do not need to be made up, according to school officials.
Three other makeup dates — May 6, June 17 and June 20 — will be used in order if the need arises.
