A man was taken to a hospital after rolling his vehicle when, after turning left at an intersection in east Vancouver, he instead completed a U-turn, crossed the median and hit a vehicle that was behind him, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Cpl. Doug Rickard, said the driver, whose name was not available, was driving south on Southeast 164th Avenue and turned left onto Southeast 15th Street around 4:15 p.m. Friday.

He made a U-turn, went over a median then hit the other vehicle, causing his vehicle to roll onto the drivers side.

The driver was taken to a hospital for minor injuries, and Rickard said he’d be processed to determine if there’s evidence he was driving under the influence.

The driver in the other vehicle was not hurt, Rickard said.
