Local florist starts program to honor seniors

Hazel Dell South — Luepke Flowers will honor seniors in Clark County with its “Because We Care” program, with store owner Bruno Amicci bringing a bouquet of flowers to a different resident in an assisted living community once a month. The program kicked off on Aug. 5, with the florist honoring Ellie Printz, originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., who loves crossword puzzles, reading, church and animals. She met her husband, Bob, at Coney Island, and the two were married for more than 60 years.
