The Port of Camas-Washougal says it’s accepting applications to fill the vacant District 1 position on the port’s elected three-member commission. Those interested must apply no later than 5 p.m. Aug. 31.
The death of Commissioner Mark Lampton has prompted the need for Commissioners Bill Ward and Bill Macrae-Smith to appoint a successor who will serve through 2017.
To be eligible to apply for the District 1 position, an applicant must have continuously lived within the district’s boundaries for at least one year before an appointment is made and must be a registered voter in Clark County.
Applicants must submit the following items to be considered for the position:
• an application (available at the port office, 24 S. A St. in Washougal or on the port’s website)
