Planned slowdowns along Interstate 205 between Northeast Padden Parkway and Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard have been canceled for this week, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Crews had planned to slow traffic nightly from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. through today to allow for the installation of two steel cages near the freeway. Instead, the work will be rescheduled to a later date, according to WSDOT.
The work is part of a $40.6 million project that will install a new interchange connecting I-205 and Northeast 18th Street.
