Mill Plain — The Humane Society for Southwest Washington is offering a “Wise Whiskers” $10 adoption special for adult cats on Tuesdays through the rest of the summer.
The promotion previously ran Wednesdays through Fridays each week, but the society expanded it due to the high number of adult cats — those ages 3 and older — ready for adoption.
All pet adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, microchip identification, vaccinations, a free veterinary exam and animal training information. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. The shelter is at 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver, just north of Mill Plain Boulevard.
