Heavy traffic on I-5 in Portland spills over to Vancouver

Heavy traffic from this morning’s commute stretched into the late morning, with stop-and-go traffic on Interstate 5 southbound from the bridge to 29th Street, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

A stalled vehicle on Highway 26 at the Vista Ridge Tunnel in Portland has backed up traffic on arterial highways in the area. Heavy traffic on Interstate 5 southbound in Portland, which has spilled over into Vancouver, causing the long delays.

Most of the delays in Vancouver had cleared by 11 a.m. but highways in Portland remained slow.
