American Cancer Society seeks volunteers to sort and price donations, press clothing, and assist customers with purchases.

Council for the Homeless seeks volunteers to work with clients to determine eligibility and connect them with available community resources.

Friends of the Carpenter is looking for an activity assistant, center host, kitchen coordinator, newsletter and mailing assistant, and help with special events, in the thrift store, with transportation and woodworking.

Hands of Favor is looking for stylists and barbers to provide services for underserved community members. Volunteers must be able to work with a variety of hair lengths, types and textures, and be able to recognize problems of the hair and scalp.

Meals on Wheels People is looking for drivers to deliver meals to homebound participants.

Silver Buckle Ranch seeks volunteer help with barn and ranch chores, in the office and with special programs.

The city of Vancouver seeks to fill one vacancy on the Downtown Redevelopment Authority and the City Center Redevelopment Authority boards, for a four-year term. The position serves on both boards. There is no residency requirement. Board candidates shall be civic or business leaders with experience in finance, real estate development, law or construction management.

Board meetings are quarterly, at 11:30 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month, at City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St., Vancouver.
