Boldt, Dalesandro to face off in November

Results are close in the Clark County chair election

Marc Boldt and Mike Dalesandro will be the candidates for the position of Clark County council chair, at-large in the Nov. 3 general election.

Boldt, a former chairman of the Board of Clark County Commissioners, has received 17,071 votes (26.7 percent). He stated no party preference on the primary ballot.

Dalesandro, a Democrat, received 17,044 votes (26.66 percent).

He is followed by current County Councilors David Madore (Republican) with 16,340 votes (25.56 percent), Jeanne E. Stewart (Republican) with 9,425 votes (14.74 percent) and Tom Mielke (Republican) with 4,058 votes (6.35 percent).

64,605 ballots have been counted, and 400 are left. The voter turnout is listed at 25.77 percent. There are 250,720 registered voters in Clark County.

The election results will be certified on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Boldt was elected to the county commission in 2004 and 2008, after serving five terms as a Washington State Representative from District 17.

Madore succeeded Boldt for the commission District 2 seat in 2013.
