A Vancouver man is in critical condition after a single-vehicle rollover crash late Sunday night.

Gage J. Allyn, 24, of Vancouver was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio two-door south on Southeast 164th Avenue heading to westbound state Highway 14 when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled and landed in a ditch, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash, reported just before 11:30 p.m., blocked traffic on the onramp of the highway for about an hour.

Allyn was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition Monday evening. He had not been wearing any safety restraints, according to WSP.

A passenger in the vehicle was not injured.

Troopers said that speed and inattention caused the crash but that charges in the investigation are pending.
