Oregon goes to 2-0 in Junior League regionals at Propstra

Beaverton-Aloha scored early and often to beat Sandpoint (Idaho) 17-4 Friday at the Junior League Western Regional a Propstra Stadium.

The Oregon team led 8-0 after two innings and improved to 2-0 in pool play. Chase Fery went 4 for 4 with four runs and four RBI.

Sandpoint fell to 0-2.

Alaska 18, Montana 17 — Ketchikan held off late rally by Billings Big Sky, which scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Michael Starr and Cody Kemble each had three RBI for Ketchikan (1-2). Max Evenson went 4 for 5 with eight RBI for Billings (0-2).

Hawaii 6, N. California 1 — Cade Halemanu allowed four hits over 5.2 innings as Pearl City moved to 3-0.

Gilroy fell to 1-1.

Washington 12, Utah 8 — Selah (1-1) jumped to an 8-0 lead and held on to beat Snow Canyon (0-2).
