Vancouver police officers were called Wednesday to a rollover crash but ended up searching for two people who fled the scene, both of whom might have been involved in a burglary.

A two-vehicle crash involving one rolled vehicle was reported at about 12:30 p.m. at MacArthur Boulevard and South Morrison Road, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

When police arrived, they learned that two occupants in one of the vehicles, a man and a woman, fled the scene, Kapp said.

Around the same time, a resident in the area reported a burglary, though it was not immediately clear if the burglary happened before or after the crash, Kapp said.

The man who fled was known by police, Kapp said, and he had a Department of Corrections warrant out for his arrest.

The woman who fled later was found by police and taken to an area hospital, Kapp said. Kapp added that there were no other reported injuries.

Officers, including a canine unit, searched for the wanted man but did not locate him. Police suspended the search after about an hour, Kapp said.
