Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday in Carson, including a minor who was taken to the hospital with a head injury.

According to Skamania County Emergency Medical Services, emergency crews responded to a collision at Metzger Road and Smith Beckon Road between a sedan and another vehicle. The sedan was so badly damaged that a woman was trapped in the front seat, requiring workers to remove the door to pull her out.

She was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with minor injuries, according to Skamania County EMS.

The second vehicle was damaged on the driver’s side, and its airbags had deployed. The three occupants were sitting on the side of the road when responders arrived. A minor in the back seat had a head injury, the agency said.

Further information about the vehicles’ occupants, hometowns and ages was not released Tuesday.
