Clark County Environmental Services seeks help, 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 15, to celebrate Legacy Lands Program’s 30th anniversary in Clark County. Volunteers are sought to clear and repair trails at the Salmon-Morgan Creeks Natural Area, southeast of Battle Ground. The 81-acre area has cedar, fir and alder forests, with scenic overlooks of Salmon and Morgan creeks. Register at www.parkhero.org

The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge seeks wetland conservation volunteers to remove invasive ricefield bulrush plants, yellow flag iris and indigobush, and to water new plantings at work parties from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays through Sept. 2. Participants will meet at the refuge’s River “S” Unit kiosk. Weatherproof boots, long pants and sun protection are strongly recommended. Gloves, snacks and drinks will be provided.
