Still time to get in primary election ballot

The Columbian
Published: August 3, 2015, 5:00pm

It is merely the hors d’oeuvre before the main course, but today is Election Day. Ballots must be dropped off or postmarked by today for the primary election, which will narrow the field for contested positions to two candidates for the Nov. 3 general election.

Just in case you have waited until the last minute to fill out your ballot, here are The Columbian’s recommendations for the primary:

• Clark County council chair: Jeanne Stewart (R); Mike Dalesandro (D).

• Clark County council, District 2: Julie Olson (R); Chuck Green (D).

• Vancouver City Council, Position 5: Linda Glover; Ty Stober.

• Port of Vancouver commissioner, District 2: Eric LaBrant; Nick Ande.
