Ridgefield — The Port of Ridgefield is seeking tenants for an 112,000-square-foot industrial building it plans to construct on port-owned land south of the Ridgefield Industrial Park, the port said Tuesday in a news release.
The port said it’s close to finishing a site plan, elevations and permitting for the project, which will allow “for a short time frame” to complete construction once leases are in place.
The port said it’s open to selling the planned building at 11th Street. It said uses of the property include office, warehouse or light industrial activities.
“The building can be home to one tenant, or as many as four,” port CEO Brent Grening said in the news release. The property is west of the terminus of South 11th Street in Ridgefield, near Parr Lumber and Agave Denim, and near Interstate 5.
In 1984, the port bought 78 acres to create the Ridgefield Industrial Park. Last year, Elie Kassab, president of Vancouver-based Prestige Development, purchased, through his company ROK Development, a parcel on 11th Street for industrial development.
