Clark softball sweeps Chemeketa

Penguins win 13-1 and 10-4 at Salem

The Clark College softball team swept an NWAC South region doubleheader from Chemeketa on Monday, winning 13-1 and 10-4 in Salem, Ore.

In the first game, Clark’s Kaycee Allinger, an Evergreen High grad, hit a grand slam in the fourth inning as the Penguins scored seven times to put the game away.

Kelsey Oldham drove in two runs for Clark. (Click here for game 1 boxscore)

Clark pounded out 14 hits in the second game as Allinger went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI, and Alicia Huegli, a Camas grad, hit her first home run of the season in going 3 for 4. (Click here for game 2 boxscore)

Clark (16-17, 4-8) next hosts Lower Columbia in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
