Week 5 spring sports athlete of the week nominees

Nominees for high school spring athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending April 25. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian

MALEYAH BURNS, UNION SOFTBALL: Burns went 8 for 11 with 2 doubles, a triple, home run and 11 RBI in 3 games.

KOBEY EATON, EVERGREEN BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Eaton won the 100 and 200 meters at the Kalama Invitational.

MADISON LORD, SKYVIEW GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Lord won the high jump and placed 6th in the 100 hurdles at the Centennial Invitational.

MITCHELL PINNEY, HOCKINSON BOYS SOCCER: Pinney scored four goals and added two assists in two games for the Hawks.

JACKSON WAGNER, HERITAGE BASEBALL: Wagner went 4 for 10 with two doubles, 5 RBI in 3 games and pitched Heritage to a 2-1 win over Evergreen.
