OLYMPIA — The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has teamed up with Wanderlust Camps to offer a new style of luxury camping at Moran State Park on Orcas Island.

This new style of camping is called “glamping.”

Overnight visitors to the Orcas Island park can simply pack a bag and leave the sleeping bags, tents and other gear behind.

Instead they can stay in a classic canvas-wall tent featuring furnishings, a queen-size bed and comfortable mattress.

Wanderlust Camps sets up the amenities for campers who reserve any of the five glamping sites in the South End Loop of Moran State Park.

Two of the sites are outfitted for two people. They also have three sites that accommodate up to four campers.

Costs for two “glampers” range from $119 to $219 per night before tax.
