YWCA Clark County is accepting nominations for the Val Joshua Racial Justice Awards. Nominations are due by April 30.
Each year, the YWCA recognizes community members who have demonstrated leadership in eliminating racism, empowering women and ending oppression in all forms.
The Val Joshua Racial Justice Award is named for the late Valree Joshua, a longtime YWCA volunteer who died in 2012, in honor of her lifelong commitment to eliminating racism. The award recognizes individuals and groups who are leaders in the struggle for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.
And, the YWCA Youth Social Justice Award recognizes high school students (individuals and groups) whose work supports social change in Clark County.
