Eric Fich’s run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning ended up providing the Hudson’s Bay baseball team with the winning margin in a 6-5 win over Hockinson on Wednesday.
Hudson’s Bay took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh, but Jordan Lester’s two-out double scored Colton Wheeler to tie the game 3-3.
Caleb Grahnert homered in the eighth to put Hudson’s Bay up 4-3, but Wheeler’s two-out single tied the game 4-4 for the Hawks.
Bay pushed across two runs in the 11th on David Wallum’s RBI single and Fich’s RBI double.
Jordan Lester’s single with two out got one run back for Hockinson before Bay sealed the win.
Fich went 2 for 4, and Grahnert was 2 for 5 for the Eagles. Brooks Dyer was 3 for 5 with a double for Hockinson.
