Battle Ground students’ artwork on display May 4-22

Battle Ground Public Schools will celebrate student artists during the district’s 56th annual Student Art Show featuring more than 800 pieces of art, including 3-D sculptures, ceramics, drawings, digital art, photography and paintings by students from kindergarten through high school. The public is invited to view the artwork from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on school days from May 4-22 at Captain Strong Primary School, 1002 N.W. Sixth Ave., Battle Ground.

A reception for student artists begins at 4:30 p.m. May 11 at Captain Strong in conjunction with a 6 p.m. school board meeting. Board members will recognize the first place, grand prize and best of show winners. The school will be open until 8 p.m. that evening for the art show.
