Touchmark at Fairway Village is offering a free presentation for caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The presentation is by David Troxel, an internationally known expert in Alzheimer’s disease and co-author of “The Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s Care” and other books about the disease, according to Touchmark.

The public event begins at 7 p.m. May 5 at Touchmark, 2911 S.E. Village Loop. Seating is limited. Reserve a seat by calling 360-254-2866.

The presentation will provide information about the Best Friends Approach, a method of care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias that focuses on building meaningful relationships and encouraging respect, empathy, support and trust, according to Touchmark.
