iQ Credit Union has been recognized for its marketing efforts.
The credit union received six Diamond Awards, which recognize outstanding marketing efforts in the credit union industry.
The awards were presented in March, by the Credit Union National Association Marketing & Business Development Council, during its 22nd annual conference in Las Vegas. There were more than 1,000 entries.
iQ Credit Union won the “Carat” award, for its “We Mustache You to Join iQ” television spot. Other awards were presented for “We Mustache You to Join iQ,” “No Monkey Business Banking” and “Clawesome Car Loans” campaigns.
The “No Monkey Business Banking” membership packets and “Get a Loan, Give Some Love” promotion also won Diamond awards.
“Credit unions that receive these awards should be extremely proud of their accomplishments and know that their work represents the very best examples of creativity, innovation, relevance and execution,” said Michelle Hunter, in a press release. “The Diamond Awards are not easily earned and the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council is proud to honor those who are deserving of this recognition.”
Hunter is chairwoman of the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council and senior vice president of marketing and development at Credit Union of Southern California.
Meanwhile, iQ’s recent series of promotions — including a TV commercial with images of the Puffin Cafe, in Washougal, and the Port of Camas-Washougal marina — could be submitted for next year’s awards consideration. It can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEvd0mAFPOw.
“We are celebrating our 75th anniversary, as a legend in the community,” said Danette LaChapelle, senior vice president of marketing/facilities/learning and development. “We wanted to find other legendary locations to shoot our commercials and chose Camas-Washougal.
“We did a Big Foot commercial using the Big Foot family in North Bonneville as well,” she added. “We are currently changing our merchandising to Mt. St. Helens for this quarter.”
iQ Credit Union has 15 branches, including locations in Camas and Washougal. For more information, visit www.iqcu.com.
