Woodland — Ballots are in the mail, making their way to registered Clark County voters eligible to vote in the April 28 special election. Only voters in Woodland, Clark County Fire & Rescue’s jurisdiction or within Fire Protection District No. 2 will get a ballot.

The ballot asks voters whether a regional fire authority that would consolidate a few fire agencies should be approved. Only voters in the service area are eligible to cast ballots.

If those voters don’t receive their ballot in the mail by April 17, they should contact the Elections Office at 360-397-2345 or elections@clark.wa.gov to request a replacement. Replacement ballots can otherwise be requested in person at 1408 Franklin St. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the weekday, or by mail: Elections Department, P.O. Box 8815, Vancouver, 98666-8815.

Ballots will start being scanned at 6 p.m. on Election Day, and early results will be available on clarkvotes.org after 8 p.m.

Smartphone users can find more information at clarkvotesmobile.org.
