Shumway — The Nashville Tribute Band brought a bit of country to Vancouver recently, as they hosted a workshop for students at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics on March 20, and the following day performed two concerts to raise money for the Community African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Approximately 75 students attended the workshop, where The Nashville Tribute Band played music and spoke about the realities of the music business. During the concerts, which were also at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, the AME choir was invited to perform a few songs before the band played, and joined the band for one song later. The money raised from the concerts will be used to remodel the AME bathrooms and make them wheelchair accessible.
