Mountain View — The Mountain View High School girls basketball team and Lady Thunder Booster Club teamed up to raise $2,400 for the Pink Lemonade Project, a Vancouver-based organization that looks to educate, empower and support those affected by breast cancer. The team raised money through local donations and raffle prizes. This was the third year the team raised money for cancer awareness, although it was the first year the group worked with the Pink Lemonade Project. Gary Moore, president of the booster club, said the team decided to work with the Pink Lemonade Project because it’s a local organization. He also added that the $2,400 total is the highest in the three years the team has raised funds, increasing its total from the $1,600 donated last year.
