Central Vancouver — Innovative Services NW raised more than $100,000 during its Caring in Paradise fundraiser on March 14. The island-themed event featured reggae music, Caribbean food and a surf simulator. Mark McCauley, Clark County administrator since 2013 and acting county manager since January, was honored with the Caring Heart Award for his “long term, on-going commitment to providing jobs for adults with disabilities,” according to a release from the organization. The money raised will help provide services to more than 1,300 children and adults facing disabilities and disadvantages.
