Gifts for our Community needs an upholstery assistant to tear down pieces, clean and organize. Some cutting and sewing experience is preferred. Also needed are volunteers to set up cupcakes in the morning, assist customers and clean up at closing.

B.Divine Clothing Boutique seeks volunteers to assist customers, and sort and price donations. People may choose tasks that match their skills.

CDM Services is looking for program aides, handymen, kitchen helpers and friendly visitors in the ElderFriends program.

Council for the Homeless is looking for volunteers to answer phones, check in clients, create files and help with special projects.

Division of Children-Family Services seeks case aide volunteers to assist with paperwork and visitations.

Innovative Services seeks front desk help, 6 to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

North County Community Food Bank needs volunteers to stock pantry and warehouse shelves, sort and inspect food donations, prepare client food boxes, unload deliveries, vacuum and clean.

Boys & Girls Club of SW Washington seeks help at its four locations. Mentors, tutors, coaches and people to help with special projects are always needed.

• Community Home Health & Hospice is seeking individuals, especially veterans, in Clark County to volunteer with the Community Hospice program.

There will be training for new volunteers, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6, 8 and 10, at 14508 N.E. 20th Ave., Suite 201, Vancouver. Attendance at all sessions is required. Training will include providing companionship to a hospice patient, supporting family members and volunteering with other agency programs.

• Meals on Wheels People Firstenburg Center seeks volunteers to deliver meals to seniors, ensuring that homebound seniors see a friendly face at least once a week.

Meal are delivered between 10:30 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Help is also needed at the Firstenburg Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver, with packing meals, helping in the kitchen and special events.
