Hockinson grad wins NWAC preview meet women’s race

Heritage grad, Clark's Breen edged out for 1st in men's race

Georgia (Porter) Glovatsky, a Hockinson High grad running for Mt. Hood Community College, won the NWAC Preview meet at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground on Saturday.

Glovatsky posted a time of 18 minutes, 35 seconds to win by 23 seconds.

Spokane’s Daniel Schofield edged out Clark’s James Breen, a Heritage grad, at the tape to win the men’s race. Both were timed in 24:28.

Also for Clark, Washougal grad Thomas Normandeau was 32nd (26:00), and Danial Soriano was 70th (29:31).

For the Clark women, Rita Colovina was 26th (20:33), Alanni Wingert was 34th (21:42), Emily Gheorgies was 47th (23:33), and Sarah Tomich was 48th (23:41).

Everett won the women’s team title and Spokane won the men’s title.
