Fort Vancouver ran nearly twice as many plays as Prairie did and controlled the clock throughout the game, but it was the Falcons who prevailed in the 3A Greater St. Helens League matchup.
It took only two three plays for Prairie to put points on the scoreboard, as Jordan Marti ran for the first of two scores on the day with a 61-yard punishing run up the side.
It seemed as if the Trappers were in prime position to respond, as they got to the Falcons 2-yard line, but a failed option toss to the halfback resulted in a fumble and turnover. Three plays later, Prairie scored again, as Kyle Schulson scored the first of his three touchdowns.
The Falcon defense wavered, but never broke, as it allowed yardage to the quarterback and wide receiver tandem of Jordan Suell and David Bishop, but also forced seven turnovers, including two fumbles and an interception.
