The Columbian
Published: September 26, 2014, 5:00pm

The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In April, the secretary of health indefinitely suspended the credential of massage practitioner Markel Kristina Town. The suspension stems from Town pleading guilty to delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver, and manufacture of a controlled substance.

In April, the Nursing Commission indefinitely suspended the credential of registered nurse James William Green. His registered nurse credential in North Dakota was suspended for diverting controlled substances from his place of employment.

In May, the Pharmacy Commission denied a pharmacy assistant credential to Cindy Marie Wheeler, also known as Cindy Marie Higdon, whose certified nursing assistant credential was suspended in 2012.

In June, the Medical Assistant and X-Ray Technician programs charged certified medical assistant and X-ray technician Nichole Renee Stahley with unprofessional conduct. While working at a clinic, Stahley allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine and admitted having used the drug the weekend before the test.
