Winterhawks players coming back from NHL camps

Portland Winterhawks forward Paul Bittner had three shots on goal Thursday in the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game at Buffalo, N.Y. Bittner played on Team Olczyk, which lost the game 6-3.

One of the top-rated American forwards for the 2015 National Hockey League draft, Bittner is expected to join the Winterhawks for Friday’s game at Vancouver.

Four Winterhawks who missed opening weekend while at NHL training camps should be available this weekend. Forwards Chase DeLeo (Winnipeg), Keegan Iverson (N.Y. Rangers) and Dominic Turgeon (Detroit) and defenseman Anton Cederholm (Vancouver) are expected to be available for Friday’s game at Vancouver. Oliver Bjorkstrand (Columbus), Nic Petan (Winnipeg) and goalie Brendan Burke (Arizona) were still in NHL camps as of Thursday.

After playing in Vancouver on Friday, the Winterhawks host Everett on Saturday and Sunday at the Moda Center.
