The Port of Vancouver has presented Cadet, a manufacturer of high-efficiency electric heaters and thermostats, with its 2013 Tenant of the Year award.
The 57-year-old company’s recycling practices, involvement in the community and various efforts to support is employees were among the reasons it received the award, the port said in a news release.
It’s the third award the company has received from the port in the past four years. The port recognized Cadet, which employs 127 people, as its Environmental Tenant of the Year in 2010 and 2012.
